Inshore Lifeboat Launched To Early Morning Incident
A request for assistance was made by Northumbria Police to UK Coastguard’s Humber Operations Centre after they started dealing with an incident near to the Low Lights car park, North Shields.
The lifeboat with three volunteer crew members sped the short distance to the scene and after a short time, the crew resolved the incident and brought a casualty to safety on shore where they were taken into the care of Paramedics and Police before being taken to hospital as a precaution.
The Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade were also tasked to assist on shore, and a Police helicopter was also deployed to the incident.
