Stranded Anglers Rescued
The skipper of the 9m angling boat Swordfish called Humber Coastguard for assistance at 21:10 when his vessel suffered fuel starvation three miles east of Marsden.
Tynemouth all weather lifeboat launched soon after and sped to the stricken vessel. The lifeboat crew attached the tow rope and took the Swordfish and her three occupants to safety at Royal Quays marina. Once the boat was secure the lifeboat returned to station.
