Reports Of People Trapped Sparks Launch Of Tynemouth RNLI lifeboat
Humber Coastguard requested the launch of the lifeboat at 18:13, also tasking the Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade.
Shortly after the lifeboat with its volunteer crew of three left the Tyne harbour, Humber Coastguard were informed by the police that all the suspected casualties were safe.
The lifeboat was then stood down and returned to station.
