Welcome to Tynemouth Lifeboat

Tynemouth RNLI station is situated on the East Quayside at North Shields, just inside the mouth of the River Tyne on the North East coast of England. The station and its volunteer crew provides a round the clock marine search and rescue service covering local coasts and up to 100 nautical miles out to sea.

Tynemouth RNLI station Lifeboat Operations Manager David Stenhouse (front centre) receives a £10,000 cheque from Right Worshipful Brother Peter Magnay, Provincial Grand Master of the Northumberland Province of the United Grand Lodge of England (front left), donated jointly by Northumberland Freemasons and the Freemasons Grand Charity. Also present were representatives of a number of Masonic Lodges from the Northumberland Province.
