It was discovered on Friday that the barbecues had been taken from where they were being stored inside the Fish Market, next to Tynemouth lifeboat station on North Shields Fish Quay.

The barbecues in the photographs closely resemble those stolen.

Both barbecues were donated by supporters and are important to the station as they are used to cook food that we sell to raise vital funds during events such as Tynemouth Lifeboat Day. They will cost nearly £1000 to replace.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference 487 15/08/14, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
