Tynemouth RNLI lifeboat day 2014Tynemouth Lifeboat Day was a great success – thanks to everyone who came and supported us, not forgetting the supporters who came along on the day to man the stalls and serve food, and of course, the Quay Motorcycle Club whose annual rally has become a huge part of our annual fundraising event.

We raised around £4000 on the day, all of which goes to keep our two lifeboats at sea, and provide vital training and equipment for our volunteer crew members.

It’s not just about fundraising, but raising awareness of what Tynemouth RNLI lifeboat station and the RNLI in general does – Saving Lives at Sea.

The RNLI can’t survive without public support as we receive no government funding so thanks again to everyone who supported our day!
