Tynemouth RNLI inshore lifeboat launched to jetskier in possible difficulty

TWO jetskiers in posible difficulty prompted Tynemouth RNLI's inshore lifeboat to launch this evening.

Humber Coastguard requested the launch of the lifeboat at 20:08 after they received report of two jet skis in possible difficulty in the lower Tyne harbour, not far from the lifeboat station.

On launching, the lifeboat crew observed two jetskis making their way back to South Shields slipway and after asking the riders if they were in any difficulty discovered that one of them had had problems but had managed to get back to shore.

After ensuring there was no-one else in possible difficulty the lifeboat returned to station, arriving at 20:25.
