Service to mark 150th Anniversary of the RNLI establishing a station at Tynemouth

A SERVICE will be held at Christ Church, Preston Road, North Shields, on Tuesday November 13th, to mark the exact day that the RNLI established a life-boat station on the Tyne in 1862. 
 
The Lord Lieutenant of Tyne & Wear, Nigel Sherlock, will be presenting a Vellum to the station on behalf of the Trustees of the RNLI and will also be presenting Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee medals to members of the lifeboat crew.
 
Members of the public are warmly invited to attend.
